All of this equipment (except for amp rack, speakers, and TV) could be, and often was, relocated to recording studios on a moments notice. Not portable, but at least transportable!
Left to right: 1/2" 8-track reel-to-reel, 1/4" 4-track reel-to-reel, amp rack on wheels (with phono and pro VCR on top, and cassette tape, tuner, surround room simulator, power amps), Fairlight CMI Series II CPU, Fairlight keyboards and monitor, amber PC-compatible monitor and keyboard, road-case rack unit (top to bottom: Korg MS-10 mono analog synth, MIDI routers [Roland MPU-103/104/105], Roland SDE2500 digital delay, Yamaha REV 7 digital reverb, Dynafex D-2B noise reduction unit, rack-mount PC-compatible XT computer behind grey faceplate, Yamaha TX 816 FM tone generator [equivalent to eight DX-7 sound modules], two Ashly SC-50 peak limiter compressors, patchbay), A-frame keyboard stand (top row: Roland SBX-80 Sync Box, Roland TR-707 drum machine, middle row: Yamaha DX-7 direct from Japan, bottom row: Tascam M-216 16-channel mixer, MP180 8-channel mixer). On the shelf in the background are Bose speakers and a large JVC TV/video monitor.
Note the light grey flight cases for the Fairlight under the desk and keyboard stand.

Voilà ce que veut Marie: jouer avec toi. ça fait un moment que j'ai ce truc et c'est aujourd'hui le moment de le partager. Un beau petit track Synthé, frais, presque froid mais qui me fait vibrer et qui devrait amuser les amateurs de "syntheu alleumand".
J'aurais tout de même bien marié Marie avec le clavieriste de Boytronic qui est vraiment au top sur le clip de "You".

Ma réponse est, Oui! Je pense savoir à quoi peut ressembler un week-end. Je suis allé en Sologne pour ce grand week-end, féter comme chacun sait la récup' de l'Alsace et de la Lorraine.

Tourisme et Métaphysique

Mon petit passage par l'Australie me permet de mettre en lumiere certains particularismes géographiques qui ont leur importance. Par exemple, les canettes de Coca font ici 37,5 cl, pour 33cl en france.
Pourquoi? Puis pourquoi 33 cl dans le fond? Ces 4,5 cl nous apprenent-ils quelque chose de fondamental sur nos deux cultures. Ou est-ce uniquement pour m'emmerder? La question reste ouverte.
Quoiqu'il en soit, l'australien semble un peu comme Jean-pierre Bacri dans Nos Meilleurs Copains (Eisenstein ce sera pour une prochaine fois) : il n'aime rien tant que le sport.
En l'occurence lors de mon séjour, tout le monde semblait se réjouir de l'imminence d'un truc s'appelant "the Racist Day". C'est du moins ce que j'avais compris.
Inutile de dire que je trouvai l'idée séduisante : enfin tout un pays célébrant dans la joie et l'allegresse la haine toute naturelle que se vouent entre elles races et nations.
Ma déception fut grande lorsque je compris qu'il s'agissait de la plus grande course hippique du pays, le "Race's day", autrement nommée "The race that stops a nation" tant elle immobilise le pays tout entier.
La victoire d'un certain Viewed en occulta presque celle d'un certain Obama quelques jours plus tard.

Ah oui, sinon, ils ont un groupe que j'aime bien, les Canyons. Ils sont supers, vont sortir un EP chez DFA et m'ont payé une biere.
